New presentation of the Museum Folkwang Collection

Since June 21 and under the title "NEUE WELTEN - Die Entdeckung der Sammlung" (NEW WORLDS - Discovering the collection) the new presentation of the Museum Folkwang Collection takes a cross-media approach spanning various epochs to tell of the emergence of “New Worlds” in 24 rooms, each of which is devoted to a specific theme.

Mülheim's Ziegler Collection currently on show in Emden

Until September 15, 2019, the Kunsthalle Emden is hosting the exhibition "Marc, Macke, Nolde. Meisterwerke der Sammlung Ziegler" (Marc, Macke, Nolde. Masterpieces from the Ziegler Collection).
Housed in the Kunst Museum in Mülheim, the Ziegler Collection ranks among Germany's most significant collections of Expressionist and Classical Modern art. As the museum is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment, the collection, boasting some 100 outstanding works, is now being presented in Emden.

The sale at auction of a large-format painting by Otto Modersohn from 1897 fetched a price of 80,000 euro on February 3, 2018 at the Bremen Auktionshaus Weser.
